Trail Signage and Identification

A number of walking/running and biking paths wind through the city of Glendive - probably more than even local residents recognize! These routes have been designated as effective ways for walkers, bikers, and runners to get from one part of town to another. BAG is currently working on designing and putting up new signage to help make these paths more visible. Finding and following a path should be easy, and BAG hopes to make it that way!

Downtown Glendive Master Plan

In early 2017, the City of Glendive began working with a community planning firm, Sanderson & Stewart, on a Downtown Master Plan. The Plan outlines strategies for improving downtown Glendive's aesthetic appeal and economic strength. BAG supports implementation of the Downtown Master Plan and its promise of helping promote a healthy community. Read the Downtown Master Plan here.

Makoshika Trails Expansion

Makoshika State Park is the jewel of Eastern Montana and the state's largest park. Makoshika offers a number of different hiking and biking trails and campsites. Makoshika staff are always working to not only maintain current trails, but look for opportunities to expand and improve trail systems. BAG supports these efforts, including current efforts to develop trails linking the park to Dawson Community College and to bring potable water sources into the park's campgrounds.
